Our Master Bedroom is my favorite room in our house. Not just because it is the only finished room, but also because it is the first room I have truly done for myself. I think Roma really likes it too. My inspiration for this room was the outdoors. The colors, the texture, and the light that filters through the trees all gave my direction to create our retreat.
This piece I stalked for over a month and purchased for $40. I did not change anything on it but cleaned it up with hemp oil. It is my favorite piece in the room.
These chairs cost me $20 and all I had to do was clean them up and cover the seats.
I had a hard time deciding on a dresser, but when my mom gave me this one I could not say no. It was my Great Grandmother's and had been in my parents basement for years. It is a reproduction of French Provincial, so I did not feel bad painting it and giving new life. Now I love it.
I wanted our bed to dreamy and relaxing. Roma our Pointer definitely thinks so. With dark warm tones on the hard surfaces it was important to balance that with a softer more delicate bedding. I am so that I could create a space that is feminine and masculine at the same time, so my husband feels comfortable in the space as well.
I hope you enjoyed the unveiling of our master bedroom as more as I did creating it.
