There is something about an Artists Studio that makes me smile. The controlled chaos of the space always interests me. In my own space I can always find what I am looking for even if my husband or a guest thinks it is messy. My client was beyond that point. She could not always find what she was looking for or find a place to put something new. I knew it was time for an update. Here is how I transformed her space to give her storage and control to the chaos.
The inspiration for this space came from her palette of watercolor paint. It was open when I first walked into the space and thought it was the perfect description of her and her overall style . Although she wanted to room to be white, I thought it would look to starle if it was. I was not shocked when she agreed being an artist and all. So the warm palette I created help to guide the location of items.
Lastly I added some fun pillow from fabric she already had and loved to continue the overall color palette. She now has a light filled studio with room to add all her creations.
